The wallflowers is a series of 5 books set in historical London and the genre is historical romance.

1.Secrets of a Summernight

Proud and beautiful Anabelle Peryton can have her set of suitors-if only sh had dowry. Her family is in debts and the only way Anabelle can save it is by marrying a wealthy man.Unfortunately her most admant admirer is Simon Hunt ,an enterprenuer which wants her as her mistress.Anabelle is detemined to resist him but she can't deny the deadly attraction between them.
"I spent most of my youth hauling sides of beef and pork to my father's shop. Carrying you is far more enjoyable."
"How sweet," Annabelle mumbled sickly, her eyes closed. "Every woman dreams of being told that she's preferable to a dead cow.”

The wallflowers make a plan to find a suitable husband for Anabelle. But fate has other plans, they find themselves surrendering to love much  stronger than they have imagined.
You mustn’t stare at me like that.” Soft as the murmur was, he caught it. “With you here, nothing else is worth looking at.” -Annabelle and Simon
The book is a wonderful startout of the series and one of the other gems of the author Lisa Kleypas.

2.It Happened One Autumn (book 2)

The next in the line to find a husband is Lillian Bowman. She is unlike anything that the English men are used to .She is a headstrong American heiress who comes off more wild and stubborn than her English counterparts.
Unfortunately, no man is strong enough to tame the beauty's fierce will ,except for Marcus-the earl of Westcliffe-a man whom she despises the most.Marcus's attraction from the American girl is hidden from everyone as being with someone of her standard would damage his reputation.
"She could never fit into the mold of a Marsden wife.”
“Then the mold will have to be broken.”
In comes the play of a special perfume, any time Marcus gets within close distance to Lillian his animal magnetism goes wild for her.
It is the perfurme that turns the sides and develops love. There is a unusal twist in the last part and the book is another fun installment of the series.
There is nothing on earth more beautiful to me than your smile...no sound sweeter than your laughter...no pleasure greater than holding you in my arms."

3.Devil in winter (book 3)

“Mysteries of attraction could not always be explained through logic. Sometimes the fractures in two separate souls became the very hinges that held them together.”
This is the story of Evie the wallflower, cursed with a stutter because of which has spent most of her life on the side.Once her home situation becomes life threatening, to escape her horrid aunt and uncles she approaches St.Vincet with a maariage proposal .He needs money and Evie needs a way out so they elope and get married.Sebastian soon realizes that he desires his wife but due to his past reputation Evie won't do it past consumation .So they make a deal ,if he can go celibate for 3 months ,she will succumb to him.
"It’s impossible,” he snapped.
“Why?”
“Because I’m Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent. I can’t be celibate. Everyone knows that."
It is no wonder that the book is a readers dream because the beautiful, touching, and evocative love story of awkwardly shy wallfower with great inner strength Evangeline Jenner and dashing ,libertime and unscrupulous villanious rake Sebastian St.Vincet is magical.
“I want to fill every part of you, breathe the air from your lungs and leave my handprints on your soul. I want to give you more pleasure than you can bear.”

4.Scandal in Spring (book 4)

Daisy is  the most fanciful of all the wallflowers .She is forever with her head stuck in a book and thinking random thoughts.
“Father, wouldn’t it be wonderful if hummingbirds had tea parties and we were small enough to be invited?”
After spending 3 season in London and searching for a husband ,her father has told her that she won't be able to find one.So the only choice she has is to find a suitable husband or marry the man -Mathew Swift her father chose.
Mathew on the other hand is dependable with twoot firmly on ground and pockets full of  solutions to various problems. He has been in love with Daisy for years ,but a secret in his past keeps him distant and now when they are thrust together once again ,he is tryingvery hard not to let her under his skin but eventually fails.
"To put to rest any doubt you might have...
I'm jealous of every man who came within ten feet of you.I'm jealous of the clothes on your skin ,and the air you breathe. I'm jealous of every moment you spend out of my sight"
A lovely romance between a whimsical dreamer and an ambitious, pragmatic businessman. A wonderful story,a hint of mystery, touches of humour and love scenes (mostly)devoid of purple prose.

5.A Wallflower Christmas(book 5)

Rafe Bowman came over to England to become engaged to Lady Natalie Blandford so that he could be in charge of the expansion of his father's company to the Continent. However, when he meets Hannah Appleton, Lady Natalie's cousin, all those plans go askew. They are both amongst the guests that are invited to Marcus, Lord Westcliff's estate for Christmas. During this time, Rafe is supposed to get to know Natalie but he is far more intrigued by Hannah, who couldn't seem to care less about him. As they spend more time together, Rafe comes to realize that he is deeply, madly in love with Hannah and she realizes the same thing.
You would say its too soon to feel this way .You would ask how I could be so certain. But some things can't be measured by time.Ask me an hour from now.Ask me a month from now.A year, ten years,a lifetime. The way I love you will outlast every calendar, clock, and evert toll of every bell that will ever be cast.
The letter which Rafe wrote was extraordinary and it won't be much to say it was the best part .And the book also give us the glimpses of happily settled wallflowers whuch is really adorable.

I was really very dissapointed to see the end of the series because the wallflowers have become friends that brighten my life but I know I can revist them whenever I want.
Want to read something really sweet then the series is for you .I loved all the books in the series but The Devil In winter is my favourite.
